The name, Edgren, is of Swedish origin, and in our case, comes from Swedish immigrants who settled in the Chicago area. My Dad grew up in Chicago, entered the Army, later went to seminary and re-entered the Army's Chaplaincy. His Dad left Chicago and settled in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. I too entered the Army, got married to my wonderful wife, Elizabeth Prisley (now Edgren) after meeting her at William & Mary (our Alma Mater). We've lived all over--El Paso, Virginia, Germany, Ohio, Virginia again, Louisiana, Kuwait, and now, Kansas--moving where the Army sends us.
As a Christian family, we hope to make a difference in our community--reflecting Christ's love for a hurting world. We homeschool in order to instill positive, Christian values in our children, Timothy (13), Rebecca (11), and Samuel (7) and provide them a quality education. We are members of the Church of the Open Door on 20th Street & Eisenhower, and encourage you to attend and hear the exposition of God's Word from a fresh perspective.
